Bonjour! Vor ein paar Wochen hatte ich die tolle Idee, meine nächste Interrailreise anzutreten und zwei meiner Freundinnen zu besuchen. Und jetzt ratet mal wohin: Paris & Belgien! Und dann geschah es. Mehr möchte ich dazu nicht sagen. Nur soviel: Ich bin trotzdem hin. Meine Freiheit können sie mir nicht nehmen.

In Paris habe ich mich per GPS-App (CityMaps2Go, kann ich sehr empfehlen :D) durch die Stadt leiten lassen. Für kartenlesescheue Menschen wie mich eine wahre Freude. Ich bin gelaufen und gelaufen und gelauuuufen. Inklusive Riesenrucksack. Fast hätte ich alle meine gespeicherten Ziele zu Fuss erreicht, aber auf dem Weg zu Sacré-Cœur und nach ca. 4,5h Sightseeing musste ich dann doch kapitulieren und die Metro nehmen. Zudem schien mir das angesteuerte Ziel aufgrund seiner nichtvorhandenen Steigung falsch zu sein. Meine Orientierung erlangte ich dank freundlicher Unterstützung einer netten Pariserin wieder. Ja, man kann sich auch mit GPS-App verlaufen. Es ist tatsächlich möglich. Ein Hoch auf mich. Und zwar wenn man bspw. „Sacré-Cœur“ eintippt und den Rest „Chapelle … de Jésus-Roi-de-France“ gekonnt ignoriert. Dann landet man nämlich nicht bei Sacré-Cœur DE MONTMARTRE! Bin dann schlussendlich doch noch am richtigen Ort angekommen und nachdem ich mich die Treppen hochgekämpft hatte und die Aussicht sah, war alle Mühe vergessen ;-)! „ça vaut le coup d’oeil„! Die Geschichte wird mir aber immer in guter Erinnerung bleiben :D!

// Bonjour! Some weeks ago, I decided to do my next Interrailtrip, visiting two of my friends. Guess where: Paris & Begium! And then it happened. Don’t want to say a lot about it, only: I went nevertheless. They can’t take my freedom.

In Paris I used a GPS-App (CityMaps2Go, highly recommended :D) to guide me. Great thing for people who don’t like to read maps (like me). I walked and walked and waaalked. Inclusive my huge backpack. I almost reached all my destinations on foot, but on the way to Sacré-Cœur and after circa 4,5h sighsteeing I had to „capitulate“ and take the metro. In addition, the destination I was heading to didn’t seem like the one I was actually looking for (Expected to approach a hill, walked trough a complete flat area). I got my orientation back with the friendly support of a nice Parisienne. Yes, you can get lost with a GPS-App. It’s possible. Hooray for me. Namely if you for example type „Sacré-Cœur“ and ignore masterly the rest „Chapelle … de Jésus-Roi-de-France“. Then you will definitely not end up in Sacré-Cœur DE MONTMARTRE! But I arrived at the right place nevertheless. After I fought my way up (lot of stairs) and saw the amazing view, I forgot all the troubles I had ;-)! „ça vaut le coup d’oeil„! But this story will always remain in good memory :D!
